One of my first recipes I ever tried in the instant pot when my 3 oldest were much younger was oatmeal!! If I’m being honest, I never really loved oatmeal growing up. Once I was on my own I realized there are so many hacks to jazz it up and make it more yummy! Plus adding fresh fruit is a great way to get your daily dose in! This is also an easy breakfast to make your toddlers/kids and change up the monotony of cereal or something right from a package.
What You’ll Need
2c Rolled Oats
3.5c Milk or Water – I’ve done both and haven’t had a problem with the milk buring
1/2c Brown Sugar
1/3c Maple Syrup
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Salt
Fruit of your choice!
Directions

Add all ingredients to IP: start with the water, then oats, then everything else. Give it a nice stir to combine. Set to cook for 6 minutes. Once pressure cooking stops, do a natural release for 5-6 min, then carefully do a quick release to let the rest of the pressure out.
Top with raisins, bananas, blueberries cinnamon, a splash of cream/maple syrup, or whatever your heart desires!!
