Welcome to the next series installment I am launching here on the blog (if you missed it, I talked about them in this post!): Try It Tuesday! I’m especially excited about this one, because fashion has always been something that’s near and dear to my heart! Since becoming a mom over the last decade, I’ve lost my way with it a few times due to tiredness/lack of time, but I really want to focus on it again as it’s something that brings me joy. I also hope I can help inspire other moms to find something (whether that’s an article of clothing, shoes, accessory, etc) that’s going to help them feel confident AND good (and also occasionally to treat yourself!)
The bodysuit trend has been here for a while, and I wasn’t sure if it was something I could pull off. I took a couple of maternity pics right before Colly was born in one (just for fun/memories) but to be honest, I hadn’t worn one before that! I don’t have a very long torso so I thought it might look kind of odd on me for that reason, but now that I’ve owned a few other options/styles in them over the last couple of months, my mind is changed! I think they’re actually really flattering for all body types, and finding one in your fave color/material might be what does it for you too!!
Here are some other bodysuits I own that are all under $20 – these look great with distressed jeans, denim shorts, and skirts! Many of them also come in multiple colors and short/long sleeve options. Personally, I’m really loving the henley/button up look (shown below!)
I also try to find ones that have more coverage on the booty and a huge plus is if they have snaps at the bottom. Us busy mamas barely get time for a bathroom break, and when we do, taking off another article of clothing is not on the list of to do’s, haha.
What are your thoughts? Have you jumped on the bodysuit train yet!? If you haven’t, go in with an open mind and just try one that looks the most comfy to you! You may end up loving them as much I do now!
