As each year comes to a close, I love sharing my ideas with you all on how to get rid of things that have accumulated over the year. Last year, I shared 10 tips to declutter for the new year, and this time I’m going to share some great ways to store your holiday decor and keep it in good shape for next year!
I put together this graphic last week of a handful of storage solutions for all of your holiday decor. Many are budget friendly and under $20! The wreath bags are such a great hack to keep your wreaths protected and in great shape.
I ended up buying these figurine storage boxes this year to hold my bottle brush trees and faux (real wax) battery operated candles. I am always on the hunt to find a good way to store my bottle brush trees and preserve them for the next year. I think this might just be the best way compared to previous methods! I was able to keep them all standing upright (which is really important so they don’t get misshapen and bent!) and fill several of them to each divider. I did the same with the candles – just make sure if you’re doing this with the same type of candles you take the batteries out to avoid corrosion!
Hoping this helps as you take down your holiday decor! This was the first year we didn’t leave ours up until after the New Year – everything came down and was put away 12/26! While I love the decor and it’s a little sad to see it go, having a clean slate and good declutter is definitely a good feeling!
