The Best Travel Makeup Bag

Technically the listing says this is a ‘makeup’ bag, however I think it could be so much more! I would absolutely use this as an alternative to a pouch in my diaper bag to holds misc things (esp if I was a new mom with allllll of the tiny baby things!) but I love this as just an everything travel bag!

First, let’s start with the style. 10/10 super trendy and cute!! I love the gold accents on it too. It comes in a variety of 4 colors – it was a hard choice for me because you guys know I am a pink girl, but I stayed neutral and went with the white. It’s also waterproof and wipes really easily which is huge to me!

We don’t travel very often but I wanted to have something to take on our trip this summer that could hold more than make up – but face wash, my travel toothbrush, and some little hygiene things too!

I love that it has a middle zipper as well as one on the side (I put mine and the girls’ pony tails in there) and another pocket on the opposite for my face masks!

Seriously this thing fits almost my entire bathroom vanity 😂 I feel like it has the potential to organize my items based on what the ‘group’ of products are if I desired. Folds up and zips so nicely too, just ready to be thrown into my suitcase! When I’m not traveling, I can store it in my vanity with spare travel necessities so it works as an organizer in that way, too. Don’t sleep on this Amazon find!

Favorite Sets For Kids

Since the boys were little I’ve always loved the two piece “sweat suits” — even in AZ! As they’ve gotten older (and I kept having more babies), I continued to buy them for them and they love them equally as much, probably because they’re so comfy!

I found these sets last fall for Cole and Honey, but sadly they’re out of stock, so I’m rounding up some others I’ve been eyeing!

Jalapeño Rice Bites with Minute Rice

We are in a season of life that has us running back and forth between school, sports, youth group activities, and physical therapies for our 4 children – which has been BUSY, to say the least! Any time I can find ways to cut down time in the kitchen when feeding my family on the go, I am all about!

Lately, we’re really needing quick snacks while we are to and from weeknight practice. Our 3 older kids do Jiu Jitsu several nights a week, and they need something that’s fast and also not too heavy before they go and roll around on the mat for a couple of hours. I love making my Jalapeño Rice Bites for them for this time of day, and I can easily slash my time in half by using Minute Jalapeño Rice Cups! Assembling them takes about 5 minutes, I can make them ahead of time too and store them in the fridge and then just heat them up when we’re about ready to hop in the car, which I love as a busy mom!

Ingredients

Minute Jalapeño Rice Cups (2)

2 TBSP Cream Cheese 

1 TBSP Diced Fresh Jalapeño

2 Eggs

1 C Diced Yellow Onion

1 C Shredded Colby Jack Cheese (or your favorite shredded cheese!)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Heat rice cups in the microwave as directed on package. Let rice fully cool. Once that is done, add in your onion, jalapeno, cream cheese, shredded cheese, and egg. Mix until well combined. In a lightly greased muffin tin, add about 1 TBSP of the mixture to each tin. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes and then remove them from the pan. Enjoy!
