Spider cookies 2 ways! These cookies won’t take you long to complete at all (and your kids will thank you for them!) The PB cookies are made from a package, not scratch, which helps cut so many corners!
What You Need
Milk Duds
12 Reeses mini cups
Candy eyes
Black icing gel (with a thin tip)
Red icing gel
1 package of peanut butter cookie mix
Prezel sticks
What You Do
Make the cookies according to package (I take the route of bigger cookies so there’s more dough on each cookie, making them bigger to decorate!) Once they’re baked, let them fully cool.
To assemble the black widow spiders: take 2 milk duds and place a drop of black icing gel on the bottom so that they can ‘stick’ to the cookie. Place both in the center. Next, take each pretzel stick and break it in half so that 4 sticks are all that you need to make 8 legs. Insert them on the sides of the Milk Duds. Place a drop of red gel on the back part of the last milk dud to give them that black widow look!
To assemble the tarantula spiders: take a Reeses and turn it upside down, putting a little dot of the black gel icing on the bottom. Place in the middle of the cookie. Next, take your gel icing pen and carefully draw on the 4 legs on each side of the Reeses cup. TIP: it helps if you wipe the tip in between uses/legs, as it can get a little globby even after just 1 draw. Next, place your candy eyes on with a little dot of the black gel icing to ‘glue’ them to the top of the Reeses cup!
