Finally!!! I know, it’s taken forever and I’ve been sharing pieces on IG for far too long – but first, let me welcome you to my new little corner of the internet! I hope to use this blog to share more of our life, my style, and inspirations for holidays, home, and finding magic in the mundane! I’m excited to start utilizing it to get info to you guys easier/quicker! Plus this will be here for good, so if you’re ever needing to refer back to a post, info, or “how to” that I’ve shared, you’ll be able to find it here!! I have lots of dreams and plans for this blog and I’m thrilled to dive in.
Okay so first the inspiration behind this space started off ‘all things pink and girlie’ but I really wanted include her little personality in it too. I also wanted to draw in a tiny bit of the other elements in the rest of our home as well (natural wood, whites, etc). We didn’t choose a “theme” but she does have reoccurring swans and unicorns as we had some of that in her nursery and she loves them. I’ll show a few before pics of her nursery of how the room started! It was actually’s Cole’s nursery before her. We got a new crib, rug, lighting (which was my old office light!) and curtains. All other furniture was used with both Conner and Cole. These pieces have now been passed down to Colly! All 4 babies have now used the same dresser, changing table, and bookshelf.
Her dresser is now on this smaller wall as her bed was too large to fit it.
Some of the decor we kept and reused for her big girl room, some we handed down to Colly, and the rest we donated.
We started this project early fall after picking out her bed and paint color. We chose SW “Lotus Flower” after a few samples for the perfect pink for her accent wall. After that was done, we went to AFW and picked out a new dresser and nightstand for her since baby sis would be taking all of her furniture for the new nursery. We found an affordable, plain white set (I can’t link these pieces but if you have an AFW nearby, I definitely recommend checking them out!)! I knew changing out the pulls would be something we’d do to make it more “Honey” and personalized to her room. This is a huge tip of mine and something I love doing to furniture!! Changing pulls is an inexpensive way to make a new or old piece of furniture tailored to you/the space you’re decorating.
The dresser we got at a local furniture store. Matching nightstand was only $60!
After the wall was painted and the furniture was delivered and built, it was time to take down the crib. She was in her crib for a little over 3 years and was so content – my only “baby” so far who’s loved her crib so much she didn’t care about a big girl bed or trying to escape from it. It was bittersweet – and I knew if I wasn’t getting ready to have another baby I probably would’ve been a lot more emotional than I was about it lol. Still makes me a little sad to see this phase coming to an end for her. Once C started putting together her bed though, she was excited and ready to be a big girl.

I’m thrilled it’s finally, finally, finallyyyyy done!!! I’m hoping that this space will be one she loves for several years to come. We do keep some toys in the shelf where her books are and in her closet (which will be a separate post – I plan to show how everything in there is organized).
