…From a box, with a little twist! I LOVE the spice cake mix year round (not just during fall), and adding a mix in or two plus a homemade icing drizzle can easily elevate it! The girls and I went to Homegoods last week and found a bunch of fun holiday baking things- these cutie heart muffin silicones and festive sprinkles! I think they’re starting to put out the spring baking goodies, so run there if you have one close by!
Ingredients
1 box of spice cake mix
2 ripe bananas (great way to still use those bananas that are ‘old’ on your counter!)
1/3 c powdered sugar
Couple splashes of milk
1 drop of vanilla extract
Fun/festive sprinkles of choice
Directions
Make the cake mix according to box. Once everything is mixed together, add in your ripe bananas (it’s usually easier to mash them and then mix them into the cake), combine. Bake according to box. Once cool, make your icing with remaining ingredients and drizzle on. Add sprinkles if you feel like it!
You can really taste the bananas in these, which my kiddos love!
