Weekend Breakfast Idea: Snail Cinnamon Rolls

This is one that’s super easy and sure to win your kids over!! 🐌

Ingredients

1 tube of refrigerated cinnamon rolls

Bananas (whole)

Candy eyes

String cheese

Directions

Bake cinnamon rolls according to directions on package (including the icing). Put a whole banana on a plate and place a cinnamon roll right on top of one end of the banana (shown above). Take your string cheese and cut about 1-1.5 inch off of the stick, two times. Place the cheese on the end opposite of the cinnamon roll and place two candy eyes on top of them.

We Eat Wednesday: Summer Lunch Ideas

Summer break is coming to an end for our kids, but here are 2 lunch ideas that we incorporate during summer and breaks during the school year! Making sandwiches x4 gets exhausting for me and repetitive for them.

“Graze board lunch” and the “muffin tin lunch” couldn’t be easier for mama!

I like to change it up with what we have on hand, but I make sure I add a protein or two (deli meats, left over chicken or rotisserie from the store, nuts, hard boiled eggs), some veggies, crackers, fruit, and if I’m feeling fancy, I’ll use these cutters with cute shapes for the fruits/veggies/meats/cheeses, but it’s not an all the time thing, just something that’s fun for them on occasion. I also like to add in a dip like hummus or yogurt topped with honey (and graham crackers!!)

The other great thing about these two ways to serve your kiddos lunch is clean up is a breeze!!! HECK YES to that! 🤗

We Eat Wednesday: Broccoli Salad

Trust me, this is one you’ll want to bring to your next gathering or summer BBQ and everyone will be asking for the recipe! SO GOOD!

We love it as an entree and it does have some protein and hearty things in it, so I feel good making it for dinner every once in a while, too! Of course you know my Honey Girl eats it up so fast – she is a total broccoli lover!

Ingredients

9 c broccoli florets, chopped small

2/3 c red onion, diced

2/3 c tomatoes, diced

3 hard boiled eggs, rough chop

1/2 c raisins

2/3 c sunflower seeds

1 lb of bacon, cooked, cooled, and crumbled

Dressing: 1 1/2c mayo, 1/3 c granulated sugar, 2 tbsp white vinegar

Directions

Cut (directed above) your broccoli, eggs, tomatoes, and onions and add to a mixing (serving) bowl. Add in the raisins, sunflower seeds and mix your dressing ingredients with everything in the bowl until all is well combined. Add in cooled + chopped bacon on top. Serve immediately. Enjoy!!
