We Eat Wednesday: Yumble

As a mom, meal time is something I’m constantly thinking (and being asked by my kids 🤣😵‍💫) about. I’ve shared a little bit more recently on this new busy season of life we’re in with 4 kids (3 in elementary school this year!) and juggling multiple sports for them, with a toddler at home. With extra curriculars and sports taking up a good chunk of our week nights, I’ve been looking for a solution specifically for dinner. While I love cooking, I struggle to cook every single night especially with all of these activities and getting Colly situated for bed.

Enter Yumble – a meal delivery service that offers over 50 different meals from breakfast, lunch (lunchbox ready too!!), and dinner. Each meal is developed with nutritionists to make sure each bite is packed with healthy essentials kids need!!! Mom Hack: How To Untangle Hair From Jewelry

Disclaimer: this is from my experience/perspective with gold FILLED (NOT plated) jewelry. Please use at your own risk/discretion, I can’t say it will work or be effective for all types of jewelry.

Hun has been taking such good care of her little Amazon jewelry items I’ve gotten her over the last 2 years (just gold plated bracelets and necklaces) that for her 5th birthday this year, I decided to buy her a big girl necklace from my good friend’s amazing jewelry company. She actually had a choker from Lise that she wore for the longest time (it was mine that she ‘borrowed’ lol and ended up being so cute on her, I let her keep it) but this problem that I’m about to get into happened, and then my husband took matters into his own hands and the result did not end well. I knew this would probably happen again, and it’s no fault or issue with the quality of the necklace, she just has long hair that gets tangled. Since she can wear this in the shower, pool, etc. she doesn’t ever take it off and then the hair seems to keep getting twirled into it, piling up along the back.

So back to what C did last time, lol, he decided to take a lighter and burn the hair out. Worked great, but it ruined her necklace 🙁 So this time I was determined to not let him do that again and find a better way that wouldn’t do damage to it.

I did some research and found that others have had good success with using Nair to get the tangled/pulled out pieces of hair out without ruining the jewelry piece itself. I gave it a try last week and was WOW’d!!!! I followed exactly what the directions on the bottle said (do not let it sit for more than 3 min – which I was wondering would that be too long? Because a piece of jewelry and a leg are two very different things, haha) but I didn’t have any issues or tarnishing.

It removed the hair like a dream and her necklace was looking brand new + still sparkling like the first day it arrived!!! All of the hair that was so tightly wrapped around this pretty little thing came right off and basically disinigrated. I used a paper towel (but you could use a cleaning/jewelry cloth, I just didn’t have one close by) and gently rubbed the remaining hair pieces out of the loops.

So that’s it! Just grab a bottle of Nair and it basically does all of the work for ya! I thought I would share this for other women/fellow moms out there who might deal with this at some point and hope it helps!

Snow Teeth Whitening

BEYOND excited to share with everyone today a product I started using earlier this summer – the SNOW teeth whitening system!!!

C had actually found them a while back and introduced them to me, and I know I had seen some IG ads in the past but I didn’t do much digging. After looking at their site, I knew it was something that I (and my husband!) could totally benefit from. I try to take really good care of my teeth, and keeping them bright has been important to me in the past and present. I have never smoked a cigarette in my life, but I do drink coffee and soda so there has been some residual/slow yellowing over time from those. I wouldn’t say anything extreme, but a little boost of brightness could definitely help.

How it started……

They have a 21 day challenge when you get your kit where you can gauge where your teeth fall on the whiteness scale they provide. I think I was probably about a 3 (which again, I know is not bad at all!) but 21 days later, I am absolutely at a 1! C has a bit more yellowing and staining than myself, so I will be sure to update with his results too so you can see what an impact it makes.

What I love about Snow is that you can literally do this whitening from just about anywhere – they make it SO simple and convenient. The mouthpiece that is included in the kit has several plug in adapters on the cable to plug into different devices – your smart phone, laptop, and more. I like to get my use in either while I’m working from my desk during Colly’s naptime or at the very end of the night after I’ve brushed my teeth and I’m reading in bed. It takes such minimal time too – I started out at 9 minutes and now I allow myself to go 20-25 minutes.

I must mention this too – as I’ve tried other whiteners out there over the years, and the sensitivity is non existent with Snow. I know everyone is different (I’m not a medical or dental professional, obviously) and has different sensitivity levels and comforts with their teeth and gums, but in the past with previous whiteners my teeth would be so incredibly sensitive for days later, even causing me headaches. It was designed with sensitive teeth in mind, and I can confidently say I have not experienced that even ONCE with my All-in-One kit, even in the very beginning. Serious WOW moment, for sure.
