I shared on IG a few days ago these simple ideas but I thought I’d bring them to the blog to refer back to for ideas in years to come! I don’t always do V-Day gift baskets or gifts in general for the kids, especially with the last 2 years being weird and difficult. I thought this year I’d start them back up again, because I really do think it’s a sweet and special tradition. I remember my mom getting my sisters and I a “small little something” – toy, Barbie, etc with a box of chocolates. Looking back now I don’t know how she even swung it all because she did everything on her own. It’s not even about the gift part, but the memory it holds now and how hard she worked to make it all happen for us. I know this isn’t for everyone, but it’s something that I’m choosing to do for our kids and if it can serve as a little inspiration or idea for you, then that makes me happy too! In years past I’ve gotten them things they will need for the upcoming season (swimsuit, sunglasses, flip flops, etc) but this year I went with their interests.
These cute little baskets are $10 at Target (which obviously can add up when you’re buying for multiple kids), however they can be reused as Easter baskets or even as home decor – they’re that adorable! I used them and added some filler on the bottom and then 1 small gift for each kid. Cole’s Lego city was the highest ticket item at $16 (which I wouldn’t normally spend on something like this, but this kid has been working so hard lately, and my kids aren’t going to notice the math on this). The 3 other kiddos were $13 or less. Colly LOVES all things Do Re Mi (cutest show on Amazon Prime – if you’re needing a break from Cocomelon hahaha) so I found a singing plush from the show and HunBun is getting a pop it purse (right up her alley!). Conner is into all things sports, so I know he’s going to love this NERF howler ball. I picked up two $1 candies for the older kids and a peach pouch for Colly to toss in there as well and am calling it a day!

Wishing you all a happy LOVE day!
