You might have noticed my gift guides this year did not include ideas for the kiddos, which I’ll explain. In all honesty, I was a bit overwhelmed with the thought of trying to include a bunch of toy/gift ideas as I have in years past for all ages and boys/girls. I kept it to things for yourself, a close friend, partner, or family member and thought I’d share some book ideas I plan to give my kids (ages *almost* 1-9 years old) this year instead.
The photo above are all books I’m giving the girls this year – even though there are 3 years between them, I think these are all important values and sentiments I want both of them to know. I believe they all encompass how worthy and loved they are. These aren’t just for girls, they can be for anyone, however, the girls are at the ages right now where I would read these to them (a few of them are smaller/board books) where my boys are more into chapter books and things that are a little more challenging. The “On The Night You Were Born” book is so sweet (Honey was our only baby born at night!) but all of the Nancy Tillman books are special and make me want to tear up!
