Hey friends!!! Sorry this post is so overdue! I’ve shared our love for our Amazon Kids Fire Tablets (16GB and 32GB – we have the 32!) we’ve had for almost 3 years now. We think they’re great because the privacy settings and controls. WAY LESS garbage (or access to it), in my opinion. We just feel so much safer giving our kids these vs. the iPad (which we actually took away when we got these, and never looked back!) They have a variety of different functions and resources- over 20,00 apps, games, books, educational content, videos and more! They also come with 1 year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited (after that it’s $2.99 a month). The icing on the cake is the 2 year worry free guarantee – it breaks, they replace!
I’ll also go ahead and link our fave headphones. We’ve had these since Nov 2019 and still going strong – which says a lot because my 3 can be rough on things like this sometimes. Below I’ll have a list of more of our go-to tablet accessories!
So, let me jump right in with my two youngest favorite apps and games. Conner, our 7.5 year old, will occasionally still grab his tablet but Fortnite has pretty much taken over his life 😝 Therefore I didn’t include him in this round up. I would definitely say the recommendations below are perfect for ages 2-6. Cole and Honey are now 3 and 5, but they’ve been playing these since they were 2 + 4 with ease.
I also want to mention that they BOTH play the Thinkroll games NON STOP. Hands down both of their faves that they ask to play daily. If you don’t have the fire tablet, I believe this game can be found in the iTunes and Android stores too!

UPDATE JUNE 2021: Now that we’ve upgraded the tablets (we had the previous version for the last 3+ years) all of my kids enjoy the tablets — Conner has started to use it too for the Homer app , Minecraft, and Roblox.
