Today I’m sharing about a product I WISH I had during my last 8 years in motherhood – the Tush Baby seat! If you haven’t heard about these innovative products, they’re a doctor approved and recommended strap-free hipseat that evenly distributes your baby’s weight. This is so important and helps you carry your little one longer and more comfortably.
Even though Colly is a little pea, she is growing bigger and bigger and it does get strenuous to constantly lift and tote her around. My back (and body!) have been through quite a bit over the years with 3 c-sections and 1 VBAC, plus my kids thinking mama is a human jungle gym on the regular 😉 This seat gives my back a break and I can truly say Colly enjoys it just as much. She smiles and lights up when I set her down on it.
This seat is awesome for when I just need a break (you do still have to hold your child, so keep that in mind! It is not hands free) but since it distributes the weight more evenly, I can give my back a break. It’s perfect for babies 4 mo+ and you can even carry your toddlers up to 45lbs! I’ll be updating this post once I can snap some pics of Honey on it, but I’ve placed her on it several times since receiving the Tush Baby and she liked it as well. Since she’s almost 4, the days of carrying her around are becoming less frequent, but she still asks fo be held/carried when she’s tired.
Ok so another HUGE benefit for moms with the Tush Baby is it has built in storage!!! SAY WHAT!!!?! Anything that helps carry around all 5,000 things we lug around as moms is a win, am I right?! I can easily fit diapers, wipes, my phone, keys, burp rags (!!!!), hand sanitizer…. Do I need to go on?! It also has two holders for bottles too! I don’t even need to take my diaper bag when we do a quick errand because I can fit it all in the storage space the Tush Baby provides.
We are a very active family – we love taking day trips to other cities around our home state and we are also on the go a lot to sporting events and practices for the kids. Now when I know we’ll be doing a lot of walking/standing, I make sure to grab the Tush Baby before we go! Speaking of standing, when it’s time to sit down for a min, baby an easily still stay sitting on the Tush Baby and standing back up again is super easy – the transition from up and down does not feel what it how it normally does with a baby on your hip/waist because of the support the seat provides.
