I’m so glad you’re here! I am Ang Disney – a wife, mom to my 4 miracles, and a business owner living life in the desert of Arizona. In my little corner of the internet, I hope to share all of my biggest interests in passions – family, home + decorating, food, mom hacks, fashion, organizing, and more! I’ve been tackling mom life the last 12+ years and while I’m no expert, I love being able to share things that have helped me along the way. I appreciate this community so much – many of you have been with me from the early days of Curly Q’s – which completely blows me away and fills me to the BRIM!
On a more personal note, I’ve been with my husband (met at age 16, started dating at 18, married at 24!) for the last 15+ years and we are pretty opposite, but mesh together so well. He’s my biggest supporter, and without him I wouldn’t have ventured out on my own to start my businesses (this blog too)! We love being outdoors with our kiddos – playing sports, hiking, finding new patios to eat on, and swimming! In our ‘spare time’ we like to DIY and do little projects to fix up our home we purchased 11 years ago to make it custom to our family. This process usually entails me coming up with the idea (with his input) and design elements, and him doing the labor 😉 I happen to think after all of this time, we are a pretty good team!
In 2013, I gave birth to our first baby, a sweet little boy we named Conner. Becoming a young mom was definitely a learning experience, but I love that we grew up together. Less than 2 years later, we welcomed Cole into the family. He was born 6 weeks early (a preemie!) and spent over a week in the NICU. From 2015-2016, we hadn’t really buckled up and faced a lot of health challenged with Cole and also suffered a later miscarriage. In 2017, I got pregnant with our first girlie – Honey! She was the missing puzzle piece we didn’t know we needed. After some traumatic pregnancies, I thought our family would be complete. I had a change of heart right before her first birthday and really felt like we had one more waiting for us. During the height of the pandemic in 2020, I naturally conceived Colly (after needing fertility treatments with our other kids!). It was such a blessing and answered prayer. All I cared about was our 4th being a healthy baby, but when we found out she was another girl? OMG, you could’ve knocked me over with a feather! I was SO elated to have another darling girlie to complete our family (Also, hello!? 2 boys and 2 girls!?!?!? Pinch me!!!) Today, our oldest 3 kids train in jiu jitsu, the boys play club soccer, Honey does gymnastics and piano, and Colly has PT, OT, Speech, Feeding, ABA, music, and functional neuro therapy.
Why is Colly in so much therapy you may ask? In 2022, we were thrown for the biggest loop of all – our youngest baby girl, not even 2 years old at the time, was diagnosed with a devastating brain disease called Rett Syndrome. This affects every aspect of her life, and not only are we her parents, but now are her full time care givers. Rett is absolutely devastating but we still have hope. Colly had defied the odds and has overcome so many challenges with the help of her massive therapy team and the champions in her life. The prognosis of Rett is very grave, but we are aiming to build a life for her that’s filled with love, support, and hope. We know God is still writing her story and we absolutely know that no matter what, it will be a beautiful one.
