I’m not sure where I’ve been, but apparently there are stores that have overstock current season and past seasons items!!! A friend of mine shared this with me and I had to check it out within 24 hours of hearing about it!
It kind of reminds me of a mixture of Big Lots, Ross, and Goodwill (although these items aren’t used! They are all new with tags!) Some items might have been damaged and are sold as is though, but I would say the majority of the things I was eyeing were in perfect condition. I found this Studio McGee picture I have in our bedroom for $5 (!!!!!) and the curtains I have in our loft for $14. I also saw a bunch of Hearth and Hand and Opalhouse products that are still being sold in stores. Oh my gosh, and I can’t forget – they had lots of Casaluna bedding as well (these weren’t as discounted as some of the other Target brands, but still a good savings compared to MSRP prices!)
If you’re local, you can check out this specific store (Final Clearance) in Peoria! Audrey Swan Blog was also awesome enough to put together a list of Salvage Target stores across the USA, so you can search your state to see if there’s one close by you to visit!
During my trip, I picked up an Opalhouse shower curtain (we use in in the alcove/archway since there’s no door, to separate our bedroom from the bathroom) for $15 (originally $25), Hun found an LOL dress that was $7, and 4 of the National Lampoon Christmas Vacation moose mugs ($10 each!). There were SOOOO many cute shoes from previous seasons from Target’s brands, Universal Threads and A New Day. I had to resist the urge to grab them all! We all know I love a good bargain + Target, so this whole experience was right up my alley! 🙂
One tip I would lend: if you do visit this store or one similar, make sure you’re checking the item itself (without opening any packaging) because I noticed a couple mislabeled items (especially in the curtain aisle). Not a big deal, and it’s clear to see what’s inside around the packaging or cardboard.
I also suggest seeing if the store you plan on visiting has an Instagram or Facebook page! They will often post what’s in store or being promoted at the discount price!
As we were leaving, the check out clerk gave Hun a free pair of sunglasses which was so sweet! We spent about an hour there and I’m pretty sure Honey loved it as much as I did. We will absolutely be back – and next time I’m hoping to score some holiday stuff!
