Who’s harder to shop for than a minimalist?! I’ll tell you – no one, haha. My husband is the ultimate minimalist, and while he’s always very appreciative for things he receives or is gifted, it’s just so difficult to accomplish. I’m always like, ‘is he going to like this? is he going to use this? is it completely pointless for him?!” UGH. If you have a minimalist in your life, then you feel me.
All of that said, I put together a round up of things that I know my husband actually DOES like/use or currently owns, plus a couple of things I know other Dads like, and a couple of things that I’m crossing my fingers and toes that I’m hoping C will like this year as a gift just for him.
You can shop all of the products in the graphic below HERE, but I wanted to highlight just a couple to give you some more info/personal experience as well! I also want to mention that many of these would make a special gift for not just your partner but your own dad/grandfather, too!
These sunglasses are SUPER affordable and something that C already owns/has owned for years. If they get lost, stepped on, a kid misplaces them – because he’s a dad afterall!, neither of you will be crying because they’re not a high ticket item and thanks to Amazon another pair could be to you in 2 days.
Aqua Extreme by Perry Ellis is the cologne C wears, and last time we bought some was at the mall around the holidays for full price – right now it’s on sale for more than half off!!! I definitely grabbed a couple of bottles to get him through the rest of the year because I know he loves it and wears it daily.
You can’t go wrong with gifting one of my fave Echo Shows – they do everything! You can play music, use the internet, if you have a Ring Doorbell- pull that baby up and check out who’s there, make phone/video calls, and so much more. I think this is an awesome device to have in the home/office for Grandpa, too!
This sweater + jogger combo is obviously not idea for the weather we’re currently experiencing here in PHX (even at night! we do nooooot have any ‘cool summer nights’ here, lol) but we saw it at Dick’s Sporting Goods a couple weeks ago and C was eyeing it big time, so I decided to grab it and gift it and he can wear it when it does cool down. It has really nice waffle material and the color options are great, too.
Has that Dad in your life ever lost his wallet? I won’t name any names, but we def have a guilty family member/dad over here! 😆 SO #9 is def something useful. These wallets allow you to put an AirTag in them so if Dad loses his wallet, it’s easy to locate it! Genius! Safe to say C owns one and it’s been really a nice peace of mind for him to have.
This water bottle is something I’m crossing my fingers that he will like. Lately he has been using another roller ball to help him stretch/relieve tension in his back – I thought this would be a cool #dadhack because not only can you use it for this but then also add cold/warm water and add the temperature aspect to it when you’re trying to stretch. Then of course, it is a water bottle after all! So take it along to work outs/travel/work etc.
Last, I bought this exact Nespresso machine last year for C for Father’s Day and it has definitely proven to be extremely useful. It was something I felt good about gifting for once because it definitely checked off the ‘useful’ box and I know it was actually something he mentioned he wanted in passing months and months earlier. Needless to say this one nailed it and if you have an espresso lover in your life, I would def recommend!
However you end up celebrating the Dad in your life, I hope it is special and he feels extremely loved!
