We love this one for “brinner” but it’s also obviously great for breakfast or even a snack, too!
Ingredients
Your fave bread (we like the thicker, artisan ones!)
Eggs
Your fave cheese (we like colby jack)
Salt
Pepper
Butter
Directions
Set oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set your slices of bread in a row (I lay them vertically but if you can fit more on your baking sheet or you plan to cook several, you can arrange them different).
Carefully make an indent in the center of each slice of bread with the back of a spoon – it should fill up mostly the center in a square-ish shape (see my reel if you’re needing an idea of that step!)
Next, take butter the edges of your bread slices. Again, carefully crack an egg (both yolk + egg white) and place into the center where you made the indent. Next, add your cheese around the edges of the egg (where the butter is). Add salt and pepper to season. Bake for 15-20 minutes, give or take if you want your egg to be hard or a little runnier!!! Enjoy!
